New ECB information and competition sections added to site

ECB's ExtraCover Insurance scheme

Two new sections have been added to the top-level navigation of the play-cricket network to highlight important ECB information for users.

If you look at the left-hand menu when entering the homepage of play-cricket you will see ECB Competitions and ECB Information now sit as part of the list.

These contain a variety of links and documents that were previously difficult to find for general users - and are part of a general re-fresh that has also seen links to the ECB's main www.ecb.co.uk site and the ECB Coaches Association's site included within the site-wide blue navigation bar.

The ECB Competitions section contains lists providing users with direct links to official sites on the play-cricket network for a variety of women's, county and club sites - including the 25 ECB Premier Leagues.

Aside from the latter, these are all administered by the ECB Cricket Department, and carry the latest fixtures, results and news where available to keep you right up to date.

Find out how to market your club effectively

The ECB Information area is broken down into three sections detailing:

  • ECB Directives and Guidelines: such as playing conditions, helmet guidance, work permit and qualification criteria as well as fast bowling directives and more besides.
  • ECB Publications: from important brochures like Marketing Your Club and Developing Your Club to an archive of Play-Cricket News and documents on junior and women's sections and volunteers.
  • General Information: on ECB's ExtraCover Insurance scheme for clubs, and miscellaneous ECB documents and lists of past competition winners.
